When I was a young punk engineer at ESS in 1973, I made lots and lots of prototype speaker systems. Since ESS wanted to be known as a cutting-edge, hybrid kind of company, we came up with many unusual box and speaker arrangements. After testing, guess where all those prototype boxes and speakers went! They sure didn't go to the trash bin! They came home with me so I could love and care for them.
Here are a couple that landed in my garage. Sometimes there were so many, there wasn't enough room to walk around in there. You can see on the top of these cabinets I had four AMT's (tweeters/mid) for each (the one box in the pic only shows two but there were four tweeters for each.
My neighbors hated me. :butt2:
