It only took a year to finally lay my hands on it....

Glory or Death!
A turntable that a friend on mine picked up for me in my home town. IIRC, I paid a Benny for it, but I'm thinking it's worth it....

The dust cover could use some polishing....

Now to test out some cartridges....:scratch2:

BTW, it's a Micro Seki DD-40.....:D

Nice, but....

It definitely needs some adjustments. The speed seems to have a little fluctuation in it, and the tone are lift doesn't lift. Unfortunately it didn't come with the MS overhang guide, and the one of lateral balance weights is missing.

I believe the tone arm is an MA-505....:scratch2:

That is beautiful! I like the interesting design of the dustcover. Did it's slightly bigger size than the plinth serve a sonic benefit, or was it purely cosmetic?

Those MS tables were pretty nice ... and just plain pretty, too! A little polish and TLC and that should be spinning away just fine; definitely the effort to get it running correctly. Congratulations! :thmbsp:

The arm is definitely a -505. Very nice turntable. If the dustcover doesn't polish out, there's a seller on ebay that sells replacement acrylic covers for the DD-40. I just got one for my -40.

The power button on the right front of the DD 40 looks almost exactly like the one fitted to my Yamaha GT 2000.

Enjoy your new find. :thmbsp:
