Hey all.. here are some pics of what is being built now.. I hope you like!!



These are named Elise, after my daughter's middle name. Drivers are all scanspeak using a ring rev,12m, and 18w. They are painted an Mercedes Alpine Rain Metallic

A started this guy.. and is currently on hold, but I will be getting back to these once I finish the other set.. These are named Marek after my son's middle name..Drivers are all Seas based with the millenium, w15,w22 as the drivers.. most all you see will be painted a BMW Sapang Bronze Metallic with Ash/Olive burl inlays .. Still allot of fiberglassing and finishing to do.. but you get the idea :D

This set is named Pop's.. I owe my hifi sickness to my dad.. I was raised on this stuff and wanted to give something back.. This is a 2way config using H-Audio's Trinity wide band driver and Ebony midbass.. The base along with the side inserst will be vineered in a walnut burl and the top along with the base will be painted a yet to be determined color.. Still allot of finishing work to do

Very nice work! They all look great. I really like the Elise, how do they sound? I wish I could build something beyond a standard box.

You're much more patient than I am. I hate painting stacked MDF. Very nice looking stuff.
 
All I can say is OH WOW!!!!... when you can build art like that, it's only an added bonus if any sound comes out of them...
 
Oh my.....I am speechless! If those sound half as good as they look, you really have something!
 
Thanks all.. the Elise's are done in a quilted Birds eye maple..

And all speakers sound better than they look.. that is the requirment... I couldn't live with myself if they didn't.. but I also believe in going active.. so tunning them to sound the best in their environment IMO is the best way..
 
Okay, so I admit they look nicer than my original plywood with vinyl mac-tac speakers I built when I was 15. But mine had nifty Radio Shack woofers.

Seriously though, I agree with all of the above comments. I'm curious about how women would react to them, as they are indeed works of art. I've had my heart broken so many times by the female reaction to a speaker I've taken a fancy to. "I don't know...they just take over the room! Can't we get along with smaller speakers?"
 
LOL... the beauty of my business model, is that is allows me to work with the end user to design a pair specific to their visual and acoustical needs... to me.. this is a win/win for all
