I understand they dont exactly qualify, but I found myself a set of these and want to try them.

Any pros cons of this horn driver setup?

Thanks

In your home, they'll be classic JBL PA gear, just big and loud. 2385 is the long throw horn of that family, not bad horns when you're at a 100 yard listening distance, and have enough of them to properly splay your audience area. The drivers do have some potential, but not on those horns in your living room.

For their flip value, you could easily come up with something more appetizing for the home and have a good bit of change leftover.

But in my home..........:D

I would try a 15" driver with those. I am not sure about crossover but there may be some people who could help.:dunno:

If you use a 15" and you can build cabs you should be able to get the horn to fit but in the mean time put um on top!!

oops 16 ohms may be a problem..:dunno:

Cons;
- This combo of components gives a real "in your face" sort of sound .
- Few ( if any that I'm aware of ) have been able to tame its' sonic character, to make it suitable for HiFi listening .

Pros;
- You have them on hand .
- The odd person around here ( I suppose I'm thinking Zilch here ) doesn't seem to mind taking on the burden of others' poor choices / ie; to "turn water into wine" ( so to speak ).

<> cheers :)

Get 2380A horns and 3-way them with eWave on top. XO's called "Keeper,"developed by Toddalin and myself over on LHF, . Shown with 2235H in 4507 on the bottom here:

Was there something else?

[Points for recognizing the cowboy holding the mic.... ;) ]
