Looks great! How about a pic with it closed, too? What did you to for hinges and springs or other means to counterweight the cover?
 
Nice work! I'm interested in the hinge system as well.

Wanted to keep it simple. Just used cabinet door hinges and a door stop to keep it from falling back when open. I have the door stop set so it leans slightly back when open all the way.

Looks great!!!

Looks a lot like the cabinet on my Dual 1009. Its the German version which the dust cover is wood and plexiglass. That Lab 80 is terrific. Much better than the factory cover.

I could say beautiful job (and not lie saying that), but I choose not to. What I will say is that youve not only done the job in the mechanical sense, but youve also managed to do it in arguably the most aesthetically pleasing way. As close to perfect as human eyes need. Bravo.
