A symphony of paradox
I came to buy a hi-fi cabinet with a pull out TT.

I noticed that there were open holes where equipment used to be.
I asked if someone had already purchased the stereo that went with the cabinet.
He said that he had removed the stereo to make the cabinet lighter. He was going to throw them away.

Long story short.

I left with my nice cabinet and fully functional Dual PW 1006 TT w/accessory box and extra head shell.

The guy worked for NASA and Raytheon throughout his career and was a soldering pro also.
After much interesting conversation it ended with him saying this was a win/win situation for both of us. I agree.

He asked for $50. I gave him $100.

Did I pay him a fair price?

Why? He was quite ready to sell for $50 & would've been happy w/it. Remember...he WAS READY TO THROW THEM AWAY! Doubt he needed the coin...and I'm sure he's pleased his gear's going to a loving home.

the tuner is not to sought after and it would of been a sweeter deal if the amps were the brooks also .the eico is nice too.congrats on the score.
