They sound pretty good, although there is a rattle coming from a mid, I'm afraid. I started to try to take the back off the mid, but stopped when I thought I might end up breaking something.
The caps need to be replaced, and one of them even appears to be bulging from the end, if these type of capacitor even do that. With dual tweeters and a 'clear' setting on their tone controls, they are much too dull sounding to be right. I expect a recap will work wonders.
My dad was happy to hear them again, and I'm very proud to have them. I couldn't trade them for a pair of Martin Logans. They mean quite a bit to me.
