Unxepected Free JBL score !!!!!!

I just (like 15 mins ago) wandered into my local thrift (next door......honest) and, once again nothing was to be had......

I glanced into the side porch where the trash was piled ready to go to the dump and spotted Two speakers with there backs to me.....i guessed they were the "Audio Pulse " horrors that had been on the floor for months.......but i went to look...they were under a huge pile of boxes, so i pulled one of the badges on the grill forward so i could see it......JBL !!!

I went to my friend who runs the shop and asked her if they were going to be junked......she said "yes and the van will be here in 5 mins" she said i was welcome to take them as it saves them money at the dump.......

So home they came........god they are heavy......need a re foam.......not tested in any way......woofer pop out shots to follow later....

never had any JBL speakers.....are these considered any good ?

Hell ya!! Free JBL's - good score - Definitely worth a refoam. I think you are really going to enjoy these.
 
Cogratulations! Free JBLs always sound the best. My work blocks some pictures, so I'll have to see your new speakers when I get home tonight.

Kinda makes you wonder what else has been "junked."

I think quite a bit ends up trashed there.....they are more interested in bed frames and coffee makers, and that old chestnut the toaster oven to be bothered about big heavy (50.7 pounds each !) old speakers......
 
Great score, worth around 400 bucks and worth every penny even at that price, you will especially enjoy them as karma plus a *little* elbow grease to fix them. What do you have to drive them?
 
Congrats on getting a very decent set of JBL's and just because you were nosy...I mean curious. Let us know what they sound like after you get them working.

I am running them now *Ducks* VERY low volume and on there backs......to see if all the drivers work.......and.....YES they do !!!!!

Sound great even at low vol.....
