Mystery Red Cone Speakers??? help needed

The title says it all, I picked up some speakers and the woofer cones are red, any thoughts on what they might be? No name listed on the cabinet, it has a Jensen Tweeter, included is a photo of the tweeter and crossover. Any insight on these red woofers?

thanks

Those don't look like the stromberg carlsons I've seen, but I've only seen a few...

They might be Misco, who made many drivers with red cones and gold painted baskets.
They were also known for weather resistant drivers with red cloth cones in gold painted metal enclosures.
Misco is still in business, but I'm pretty sure their drivers are all now imports and made by other companies.

I was going to say Stromberg-Carlson too, they are known for red coned woofers, and that is the right era.

I don't think the arrowed B is likely to tell us anything about the woofer since I assume the crossover is a separately sourced part. Both the construction and the different paint job suggest that it wasn't made to go specifically with the woofer.

The basket and magnet have a CTS look, but the cone is the right color for Stromberg-Carlson - who I believe made their own drivers.

So, almost a decade later and I’m trying to find the answer to the OP’s question, as well. Was this ever figured out? I’ve got a set of these as well.

What's the number stamped on the woofer in the first pic? It probably has a manuf. code in it.

Looks like 129 upside down, but that doesn't give a reasonable speaker manuf. code (129 is Boonton Radio Corp.).

Becker is 24, Stromberg is 308, Misco 114, CTS 137. But not all drivers have EIA codes.
