Yes new domes and diaphragm , voice coil and every other parts remains original. He uses some kind of membrane and the polydome is reborn again.
Great job done to perfection by a Sifu.

Sorry for the quote "Sifu" means Master in cantonese .
When you call a kung fu master Sifu , you are addressing him as a master of some art or skills. Hope that helps.

Just look for the owner of the shop and and pass your damage Polydome to him and he will gladly provide the service.
For those visiting the shop , just tell him that you are from overseas and he will provide a quick one or two days service.
Originality of your Polydome will be restored but it will be in black instead of the original white.
May all the dead Polydome be resurrected again.

The "sifu" in question is, IMO, one of the most knowledgeable and experienced speaker repairmen you could ever hope to find. Second generation audio guy, I believe. He's the widely-acknowledged TOP speaker repairman in Hong Kong: almost all the local dealers send their drivers to him when repairs are needed. Ad a result, for years he has spent hours every day, refoaming, repairing and rebuilding all kinds of drivers, and by now I don't think there are many speakers/drivers he hasn't seen or doesn't know. You can ask him about some obscure, rare speaker, and he can describe in detail characteristics of the voice coils, etc... that even long-term owners might not know.
His shop also sells vintage speakers, and quite regularly has some rare and interesting/exotic ones. In the past year or two I've seen things like Bozak Concert Grands and Project Everests there, and many unusual smaller speakers, too. I bought my NS-1000Ms from him, and was very pleased with every aspect of the purchase.
He's a very modest, nice and friendly guy, too! :yes:
:scratch2: My only worry now is how he'll feel if he is suddenly inundated with Polydomes sent from around the world, since he is often busy as it is. (Did you get his permission to post his address online like this? I don't know, maybe he'd be very happy to get the business? I hope so, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable if he'd okay'd this in advance. I'll ask him about it, and see what he says.)

Thanks for the introduction and reminder.
I will try and call him regarding this matter.
I was only trying to help thinking it will benefit those who still own a dead pair can have them resurrected again.
As for "Sifu" my intention was of goodwill as I'm one happy customer.
If you ever pass by his shop again would appreciate if you could a tell him about it. My next trip to Hong Kong is still uncertain but anyway if I happen to be there i will definitely try and meet up with you.

Also I search new Polydomes or any way to repair because I have a in my homecineme two Kappa 9.2i and five Kappa 7.2i (one 7.2i modified to a custom centerspeaker).

edge cracks
Are common near the edge....I believe the wire heats up during use and causes the edges to dry out first...Just an opinion as this may not be the case but those polydomes look pretty damn good . I don't think I would be having them repaired anytime soon as they will probably last many more years before getting bad enough to replace the dome

I think I found a solution. I called the germann Support of Infinity and he mean it is the glue which fix the voice coil at the diaphragm.
In south Germany there is a guy who repair speaker. I sent him an email with this picture and he mean that is no problem to glue it again.

Furthermore the german guy cleans the poly with an special lotion that they will be flexible and clearly again. Thats why my Polys looks very good here:

and I think that I caused the cracks through a 2nd cleaning by myself with an microfiber tissue and to much pressure while clenaing....
Anyway I would really know if the sifu will sell complete diaphragm like the original replacment diaphragm which is sold out or could he only repair the poly with some parts of old?
If I'll stay any time in HK I'll visit him

He does repair them. However, you should know (and he would tell you this) that the voice coils on those were made with square- or rectangular-shaped wire, wound "edgewise"; that is, wound with flat surfaces facing each other all around. All the wires line up "perfectly", in effect making a "solid" coil without air spaces in between, as you get with regular round wires. This makes for a better magnetic field.
If the wire is broken (e.g., burned through) and repaired, this will cause a slight bulge where the wire has been repaired (soldered). With the introduction of that bulge, you no longer have that "perfectly solid" coil; now there are some slight spaces and disruptions in the field. It is also very difficult to get the coils to re-align more-or-less properly once damaged and repaired. He does about a good job as it is possible to do, though. You may never hear the difference; after all, regular coils are normally not made this precisely to begin with, and we are happy to listen to them. Still, it will be different from a never-damaged coil, at least a little bit, and won't be quite as ideal as the original (before repair) coil. But as I say, whether you'd hear the difference is debatable.
Subject to accepting that, I know he has repaired Yamaha Beryllium driver coils before. I don't think he likes to very much, because of what I just explained, and I'm not sure if ALL types of damage are repairable; perhaps some are not, but I know he has done this before, and can do it if required. I don't know what he charges for it.

Interesting about that "lotion". I'd love to know what it is that he uses, that could chemically soften/restore those domes. I have a pair that are so brittle I think they'd break if you stared at them too hard.
I don't know if the guy here sells replacement diaphragms, or just does the repairs. I can ask him next time I see him. Most likely, he just does the repairs, but I'm only guessing that.

I don't know what is in the lotion but it works My Polys never looks better since they were new.
And he told me, that he can make polydome flexible again which are brittle but still now I see only my result.
