This was a project instigated by the Daughter. She is one of the college kids that help run KUOM, U of MN's Radio Station, 104.5 FM. I thought I would share this to kind of lighten the mood and maybe show what can be done with the T-amp and a couple of hours time.

I had almost everything on hand for the build, lacking only the foam tape and a 1/8" mini plug right-angle connector for the audio signal. The box is something I picked up along the way, made from plywood and sturdy as heck.
The woofers were from a replacement project that never happened. The T-amp is the stock deal. I added in an SLA 12v. battery, a switch for the charging circuit and amp power, a lead with female 1/8" mini stereo jack that exits the top, an IEC socket for 120AC, a 12v. wallwart, and sundry wires, terminations, etc..

This rig will be used for the Radio Station's promotions. Yet to be installed are some Station swag and possibly, some lights. The source will undoubtedly be an Ipod but the Daughter had to try her phone and it did work with that.

You can see from the first attachment, in the previous post, that my first choice was to use a pair of Frazier full-rangers but even though they sounded good, choice went to the larger rubber surrounded 7" woofers. There is more "Parade Punch" with the 7''ers.

I've been listening to it for a couple of hours, now, and the little box is pretty incredible. I wish I had picked up that microphone I was looking at, this afternoon, I need to measure some of this stuff.
The woofers naturally roll off towards the high end but they are playing up there. I hear cymbals and woodwinds pretty clearly. I'm guessing here, but I think this must be putting out over 90db.. The Daughter came out for another listen and said it was too loud.

Even though it would make for a long arduous journey, I think you should ride that over for the next Cobblefest event :D

WTH, Ron, maybe we could roll a bunch of these off and market them in someone's Corn Stand. :D

I will be calling you, shortly, I need some horn advice.

When do you need to have this Parade Special ready for the road?

I think I have the perfect addition for your cruiser. No parade bike should be without a sparkly, bobbling monkey head lamp. It's a color match also! :D

Maybe, the baskets are small on this. Much smaller than my "paper-boy days" baskets. Of course, they're big enough for a Kindle.

FWIW, this is a percursor to a bigger project, installation of a detachable box for the same purpose, in a Ford Escape. That box will have a four channel auto amp, run off the hybrid's electrical system, have some PA speakers, and have much better craftsmanship. Stay tuned.
 
Looks cool. I am thinkin' you might want some sort of grill or something to protect those drivers from flying candy and the like.
