Some already know of the start of this project but this is the official build thread for those that don't.
Today this 49 pound package showed up at my doorstep (I'm embarrassed to say how anxiously I was waiting for these today!)
In it were two of these:
Here are the basic parts I'm going to use:
the CD will likely be a B&C DE250 but I am currently awaiting budget
Here is one of the woofers on top of my Speakerlab Super Seven which is 20"Wx15"Dx30"H
Here are some of the other parts I'm going to use, three satin nickel spikes per speaker, and these very nice dayton gold plated posts.
There will be two of these 4" flared ports (overall front diameter is 7.25") and each will be effectively 5" long which is the minimum length.
I will warn you that this will be a slow moving build due to it being a collaboration of the skills and wallets of not only myself but my friend (who will ultimately keep them) his step father (who will help with the cabinet) and two other investors.
