I used to have a High Fidelity annual with a review of that Leslie. They seemed to view it as an interesting alternative to the usual speaker -- I thought the whole paddle with the high frequency driver thing rotated, but apparently it only is moveable to aim the high frequency array. Its something to do with the woofer than rotates, to break up room modes.

That Kenwood is a nice looking unit. As a owner, all I can offer is what the pervious owner told me- they need 75WPC or better. What I don't know is the ohm rating for the speakers. Trying to hunt down an 1975 High Fidelity review of the speakers, which should tell me more. I'm using a JVC RX805v which is 100 WPC.
I think you'll find the speakers stunning sound wise. I've basically ended my speaker search.

Gut feeling is those would perform well for HIFI. Of course the cost factor plays in given the risk of unknown. If gotten for a good deal, would be nice to listen and experiment. And perhaps will sound great, unmodified, other than routine maintenance.

Believe Allen Organ had a set of speakers swirling on the top of the cab, and had two static woofers supporting underneath....would love to hear those.

I don't think any kind of swirling or rotating would be good in hifi. I think there would be a phase problem. I wonder if you could rotate a speaker fast enough to eliminate that? Would there be any point? Or could it be a 360 sound? Of course there is noise from the motor.
