It's a New Year, and time to thank all the members that frequent this forum, helping others with issues on our favorite audio equipment.
We have members from all over the world, taking the time to read posts, look at manuals and schematics, and help formulate plans to get gear up and running again for others, it's a wonderful resource and a grand thing to watch. Some of these things go on and on, and it never ceases to amaze me that we actually fix many of the problems folks bring to the Sansui forum.
I have been rewarding the member that you folks recommend with a free annual subscription to AK.
Please PM me with your candidates to receive this token of our appreciation for being the most helpful member for 2010.
I will accept nominations for a week, and announce the winner at the end of next week. I too am an unpaid volunteer, I pay for this out of my own pocket.

Hi new to AK and i have a question. Recieved a sansui 9090DB and was wondering if anyone could direct me to a good shop in KY. or i will be working in IN. for a bit. Found a couple online but it is a monster and would cost alot for shipping i think. And is this worth fixing?

First off, welcome to Sui! Secondly you need to start your own thread as this one has an entirely different subject. Yes that receiver is worth fixing.

Hello Sam,
As my friend Paul said, welcome to AK, and yes that receiver is worth fixing.
If I were you, I would start a thread, call it 9090db in crisis...or something like that. See what happens.

Sir.Byrol,should be in there , being recommended.John at NWA still has my 890 but this is what he tolled me about Will.(His work is professional and he is using the Hi Quality Parts).

I can't remember offhand how much Sir Byrd has to contributed to this forum particularly, but he certainly has been an amazing contributor both to AK in general to those of us AKers lucky enough to live in the Puget Sound region. He did a professional recap on my AU-9900, which is a service to Sansui lovers everywhere - one more vintage piece restored to former glory. He gets my vote, though I'm sure there are others deserving as well. Hell, Casey, you deserve a nomination just for moderating! :thmbsp:

Thanks to all for your continued support. I don't always like being the guy who enforces the AK rules around here, but I really love seeing the help you guys give to folks bringing their Sansui issues to us for review.
