The Fisher 700-T and XP-9C speakers

I seem to have entered the Fisher stage of my collecting or acquiring or whatever it is I am doing. On the heels of buying an X-100 integrated amplifier and FM-500B tuner, I got this 700-T from a used furniture store in town. It sounds great through my Minimus 7 test speakers and all lamps, dials, knobs, and switches are good. At first some nasty distortion had me worried, but I think that was the caps reforming. It went away and hasn't come back. No case, but it is in good shape. The tuner seems to be quite strong.

I bought 4 XP-9C speakers from the same guy. He said they were all part of a church pa or organ speaker set, which surprised me. I thought they might match up well with the little Voice Of Music amp I've been messing around with, but not really. Maybe they'll be just right for the X-100 and FM-500 when I get them back.

I didn't really need any of this stuff of course, but I gave away some HPM 40's and a nice little Kenwood receiver to sort of make room.

Nice! I have both the 700 and XP-9's, unfortunately they need new tweeters, (one of the many projects...)

You can get the service manual for the 700T free at www.hifiengine.com.

The 9's have 15" woofers and are a 4-way design. In my biased opinion they are really nice. Enjoy them.
