Yup, the SA-708 is the Europesan version of the SA-7800.
It was available from 1979-80 and was priced at $450. It's one of the 'Flouroscan' amplifiers. Output power is 65watts RMS. Overall weight is 28lbs!
The 708 has a metal casing rather than a wooden casing.

Just to clearify:
The sa-708 is NOT the european equivalent of the sa-7800 as pointed out by another member of this board (membername:sa-708)
