LuXman L 480

Gents,

I got a Luxman L 480 amplifier. Just collected from secondhand shop. It work as Power amp when I insert Audio to main amp in from the back pannel. Also work as preamp when I feed aux in and I can receive the output from pre out. In normal operation do I need to put a jumper pre out to main in ? If any body knows answer I appreciate, Or any service manual for this.
Actually I made a connection between them for one channel simply burnt the power transistor.

Your unit should have jumpers in the back, but it's not unusual for those to get lost.

Most people just use a short RCA cable to connect the pre and main if those jumpers are missing.
Are you certain you damaged it?

Did you connect the main in to the pre out?

If you connect main in to main in, or pre out to pre out, you will destroy the amp.
