Do a crosscheck of the serials online,look like early 70's vintage,but who cares..Just checked,they are 1965..I would have them checked,but try them on a tube amp ,you never know.
Whatever the price was, its a score..

I have a pair that were serviced with bronze grilles and are amazing..Just do not hook them up to any receiver or solid state integrated as most will not handle the load..
Use tubes all the way and you shall be in heaven,man

Damn - I was at the B'ham GW just last week, why couldn't they have been there then? I've seen Vaughn's setup, he's got tubes.
Alas, my tubes are all gone:sigh:
Right now I'm down to just a Sansui AU-7500. I think it's a great sounding little amp but probably not up to driving the Quad's.
I think the Fisher 800c or Scott 299c I had until not long ago might have been a good match.:scratch2:
Ah well, I'll have time to search out another amp while I'm rebuilding these!
Maybe a Sansui 1000?
Damn...and I thought finding my Bozak B-301s at GW was unlikely. Nice pickup, and I can't wait to hear how they sound. I've never been fortunate enough to hear big e-stats.

From across the store I thought they were DQ-10's as well, until I got closer and saw the vertical stripes in the grille.
I found a 24 page document on line by Sheldon Stokes outlining the rebuilding of these. I've made electrostatic headphones/energizer before from the ground up so I have high hopes
P.S. Having had a pair of DQ-10's through the house recently I'm amazed how closely Dahlquist copied the aesthetics of the 57.
