Hmmm...the Dynaco SCA-35 and the 'Sui AU-20000 are sold already. I can't wait to see the customer feedback on those!

I can't get over how this guy lists prices for non-functional gear that's pretty much on par with good condition working examples. I've also heard that if you try to bargain with this fellow, he becomes quite irate. I'd be tempted to see if I can audition anything before I buy it, just so I can see who this clown really is.

Started this thread to alert AKer's of a known bad guy operating under yet another user name...didn't want anyone accidentally walking into a transaction with him

Yep,

One of the telltale pics (background)

There's also the stand he uses for some of the gear, and the table hasn't change either.

Also, same old obnoxious attitude. I contacted him about a couple of integrated amps, inquiring about the voltage (is it 100v, 110v, or 120v) and how best to deal with 100v. His response? "IF YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE SANSUIS THEN DONT BOTHER ME. I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THIS." Yeah, it's the Chulo alright...

just my opinion. i paid him ($800) for sansui AU 707,But he didnt provide me the shipping details. his response was very much rude.finally i complained to paypal and got my money back. i had very bad experience with him.:sigh:

Man a couple of those pieces were hit hard. His pictures do much to obscure the actual physical condition. You have to look really carefully, and even then I'm sure there's much that gets missed.

Always remember with this guy:He rarely has the unit already in his possession. He gets a bunch of photos from his Japanese 'connection'(whose wooden floors and component stands are in the photos). He posts those photos as the 'bait' for the intended buyer.

He rarely has any first-hand knowledge of the actual unit that he is selling, because the unit is almost certainly still in Japan. That is where the delivery comes from.

Try asking him for a close-up of the serial-number.He'll come up with some excuse as to why he can't provide it.The real reason,is that he doesn't have the item in his possession.

Thanks 'coates for being the sentry on duty this time. :thmbsp::thmbsp::thmbsp:

He tends to lay-low once attention has been focussed on him.So let's keep the attention focussed on him. :D

I don't know what it means, but some of those item offer local pickup for cash. He must have another scam for that situation!!

Works well doesn't it?Got you thinking that he can't be doing it if he offers pick-up.

See if you can get it.

I asked once to have a friend that was local to him (yes, I lied) inspect some speakers Papi was selling before making an offer on them and never did get an address out of him.

i owned a cdp-r1 and das-r1 and remember seeing his listings for the r-10 models on ebay and his "only sony ceos" could get them comment

Although some individuals have reported transactions with components that operate well, if this seller is the individual he is suspected to be, he also has a history of selling damaged goods or never completing the delivery of the goods at all.

About once per year he resurfaces with another identity and resumes his activities. It is heartening to see that the AK community monitors this guy's activities and is now not only vigilant but active in notifying others via AK, but is also reporting him and his history to the website itself and getting him shut-down.

Life has gotten much, much more difficult for this guy since the AK community has been on his case, and his IDs are being abandoned at a faster rate along with his scams shut down very quickly.

Scammer, either go legit or realise that the AK members do not tolerate you as long as you practice your dubious practices.
