Ohm sound cylinder? (can removal?)

Don't go in there, it is scary! Actually, if you are careful you can use something like acetone to soften up the sealer at the base/edge of the can, and gently pry up with a small flat-blade screwdriver or even a paint-can lid removal tool as you go around. Someone might recommend some other type of solvent, I wouldn't use anything too severe though, and try not to get it on the surrounds foam.
I always recommend sending the cans to John at Ohm, but for those that want to DIY, I say go for it. The Ohm's are fun speakers to have around, hope you can get yours working. I enjoy my MWT's and Walsh 3/3000's. Tim

When I pulled the cans apart on my Walsh 5 speakers I used a sharp instrument, time and patience. Just kept working away at the goo holding them together until I could finally pry them apart. Not the most pleasant job, but not a huge deal really. I didn't use any solvents though I guess that could help if you're careful. (or possibly create a big gooey mess)
On mine one of the tweeters was bad. Installed a replacement and all was well.

Just give ohm a call or send an email. 9 times out of 10 you will be talking to John s. the owner of ohm who will tell you how to go about this safely. Their customer service is excellent from my experience with them.
The can should just lift off once all of the screws are removed -- iirc, my 2s used a foam tape to seal to the cabinet. Be prepared to see a rat's nest inside the cab and can (if you want to take it apart). Aside from the cabinets, the post Walsh Ohms are probably the most poorly built serious loudspeakers I have come across in over 40 years in this hobby.

It's all about the how they sound! I own a lot of
Vintage speakers and I can't say one is better than the other. I use different speakers for different types of music. However I can tell you my ohm Walsh 4's
Get the most play time! (and that's saying something!)
