just the electrolytics. but watch out for the low leakage/noise electrolytics. which will be about half of them in this unit.
no formal parts list as of yet, although I have done a few units....
and using the low noise caps makes an AUDIBLE difference.

A few dumb cap questions
Thanks Mark, I will be putting together a list from mouser and digikey. I will post it when complete.
Now time for my first dumb question--When looking through the mouser parts list or even the list from the pioneer service manual, How do I identify the Low noise/leakage caps from the others so I dont end up putting in the wrong type?

Look for these designations: CSZA, CSSA and CEANL in the part number list in the service manual, Mark also has them listed in his parts list. Read the PDF's in this post, it'll help you understand the designations. http://audiokarma.org/forums/showpost.php?p=3012505&postcount=11
The replacements for low leakage caps are either Nichicon KL, they show up in Mouser as UKL, or Panasonic ECQ film caps for anything under 1uF.

No, the 9500 I own is a SA-9500II, but I have the service manual for the 9500 and I never know when one will cross my bench, so I have prepared one in advance. I've done that for most of Pioneer's stuff, since I have most of their service manuals and the manuals are pretty reliable.

multi for offset for ability to finely set, single for idle because you would end up cranking forever to get there.
as for the two on the power supply board I believe they adjust UP perpendicular to the PC board.

I just used Matt's BOM since I haven't done this before and made up a project for the SA-9500. I deleted the B/O item and replaced it with the one above. Nice easy way to get a project build list at Mouser. $48 in parts...today's prices is reasonable for a 'new' SA-9500.

compounded errors just make it harder to get working,
when the need for replacement hasn't been proved.
Q6 and q7 HAVE been proved.
the 945 and 733 transistors come in ecb and ebc flavors - making their identification during replacement(mandatory) more tricky.

So, I was finally getting around to recapping my SA-9500. The filter caps I bought are screw type (but they do fit into the space perfectly) where the original filter capacitors have twin posts to which a number of wires are attached (both soldered and wrapped as far as I can tell). I probably could, with much care, manage to detach, and then re-attach to my screws, but wondered if there was a better way? Possibly even trying to sever the twin posts from the old caps so that I could re-attach the posts rather than each individual wire? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
