CL Curb Alert brings Marantz 2238B

Sony CDP-297 CD player
Aiwa SX-NV70 speakers with built-in wires
RCA cable
FM antennae

One night a couple of weeks ago I couldn't sleep so was reading Craigslist which had an ad in the Free section for Aiwa speakers down the road from me. I went over there at midnight and in the curb pile was the silver-faced Marantz.

The receiver works well with just a little crackling when turning the knobs. It has one bulb out in its face.

I'd like to get some more fitting speakers for it.

The items sit in my son's room now and he listens to Kiss108 on the FM.

I am laughing on you late night recon, move fast and do as you have to do concerning the "free stuff" listing on CL. My family and myself are still enjoying our Sony 65" 1080i perfect functioning big screen after 3+ months of mega hours of enjoyment by us. I moved like greased lightning when I seen the add on CL, happy for you and your Marantz score as well as the other goodies.
 
Nice score. I wish people left stuff like that on the curb around here. :sigh:

A splash of deoxit in the pots should cure the crackling problem.
