I had four SPX5500 speakers. Pretty grills, looked cool with grills off as well. They will play very loud if that's what you are in to. I picked them up very cheap overseas in 77. I really did'nt care for the sound, I thought they were harsh and for 15 in woofers thought they lacked bass. I hope you like them! Tusk

5500??

puluke
Do mean the old Receiver 5500 or some other. I know about 8 different 5500 from AU-5500 all the way to QRX-5500.
I guess you have to specify

Exclamation

Sansui 5500 receiver, 1969-1972 45 watts/ch. We have tracked 22 sales of this unit on eBay. Low was $23, high was $129 for an average of $ 64.

We have 9 serial numbers registered starting with February 1969 and the newest unit is September 1972. The last eBay sale was June 23rd.

Hope this helps.
