JBL-2600 and LX-22 Speakers

I have been offered these two sets of JBL's for around 60.00 for all 4 in mint condition. I don't have very much knowledge on these and was hoping maybe other members can chime in if they have knowledge about them. :scratch2:

Take them now (and let AK sort them out later.) I'd wonder about the mint part but you can worry about that later at that price.
 
The LX-22's are worth the asking price so you can't really go wrong as long as everything is working. The 2600's ? They don't look too impressive but they will be basically free so why not.

I'm with kahoona on the mint thing. I can find flaws in just about everything described as "mint".

Pictures he sent me show that the outsides are great, sounds hard up for $ so I will try and pick them up today. I need more speakers like a hole in the head. :nono:
 
I had a pair of 2600's that I gave to my grandson. Not a bad speaker for a small bookshelf, but a little bright for my taste. I prefer acoustic suspension speakers, but for a ported speaker, the bass is not boomy on this speaker. Well worth getting and seeing if it suits your taste. The titanium tweeter is bright.
 
I was able to get together with this guy trying to sell these JBL speakers, I brought them home today and tried them out.

They sound perfect, guess they were used for the guys tv when playing movies. There is not a scratch on them anywhere, only a little paint drip on the top of one grill.

Looks like a pretty good deal, not sure what I will do with them yet. :scratch2:
 
Yepper, you have a beautiful pair of 2600s there, RS!

My pair is in the same condition as those, not a scratch on them. Listened to them last night while playing some SIRIUS music stations. Love the sound.

I'm not a big fan of the ported cabinet, the bass seems too slow with not enough punch to match the great highs. But position makes alot of difference I noticed. They look and sound like new, I am real happy with both pairs. :thmbsp:
