Marantz Equivalent Part Numbers

Marantz equivalent cross reference Part Numbers -- can you help?

Hi,

older products like Marantz Model 19,
have Marantz part numbers without NTE compatible value/replacement...

for example:
Q801 Transistor PNP 334-1043
...
Q803 Transistor PNP 334-1008
...

"newer", are easy to guess.

Do you know some compatible part cross references? Do you Know someone that does?

Are you asking a question? If so there is no cross for marantz part numbers. There are a few old school shops around that have written crossed part numbers in their repair manuals as they have had to sub over the years.

Here are a couple I subbed in the 18.

34-1006 can be replaced with a 2sc2611 or 2sc2371
34-1044 can be replace with a 2sc828

very important to start making a cross reference, like Ampex
thanks for your contribution.

Up...

Diode
35-1014
35-1020 Rectifier, Bridge
35-1021 Zener ?
35-1023
35-1024

Transistor
34-1019
34-1020
34-1021
34-1022*
34-1023

*some say that 34-1022 could be replaced with 2N3638A, 2n3636 or sk3025.

this may be stupid to say but not having opened up any Marantz units of that vintage is there written info on these transistors? If so post some of the numbers themselves that are on the transistors and they may be very easy to cross ref that way?:scratch2:

Later units are easy, cause most have the manufacture parts numbers on the components...

Some early have some Marantz specific numbers.

The ability to document a crossreference for pure Marantz parts list numbers....will be a difficult at best effort. There are hundreds of thousand of numbers.

As Pat alludes to, the easy path is to read the number number on the component.

Some direct crosses for some parts are just not available....and then is off to the races to find a part.

I know this is an older thread, but I was wondering if you ever found the proper replacements for a couple of these transistors. I’m looking for the 34-1019 and 34-1020. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Where are you using this transistor?
