Speakers Detail
• Drivers: For each channel:
Six 8-inch polypropylene woofers, servo network controlled.
Seven EMIM midrange drivers in dipole array.
Four EMIT tweeters, one facing rearward, in dipole array
• Frequency Response: 25 to 32,000 Hz ±2 dB
Suggested for use with amplifiers of:
Bass module, 150 watts per channel minimum
Midrange/treble module, 75 watts per channel min.
Must be bi-amped
• Crossover Frequencies: 140Hz, 700 Hz, 3,000 Hz, and 8,000 Hz
• Nominal Impedance: 4 ohms
• Finish: Hand rubbed oiled oak veneers and solids
• Dimensions:
Bass column: 60 inches x 12 wide x 12 deep
Midrange/Tweeter modules: 60 inches x 24 wide x 12 deep
• Shipping Weight: 400 lbs for the system (without shipping boxes/crates).
All original, and yes I am the original owner.
The cabinets have picked up a few tiny imperfections due to age, but nothing major.
Also included is a second set of midrange tweeter panel covers/screen along with a 20' pair of Monster Cables designed for the base towers and a second pair of 20' Sound Hose, these are the ideal cables for these speakers. Included is the Original Infinity RS-1 (b) Servo Crossover. Everything is original with NO modifications.

All in all then, the RS-1Bs must be ranked among the very best speaker systems that money can buy without going completely overboard. They are not The Ultimate Speaker for everybody, but in view of what they do superbly, I think it fair and accurate to describe the RS-1Bs as the quintessential audiophile speaker system. These speakers do nothing valued by the critical audiophile anything short of superbly! People who get to hear live music frequently, and who value what we have come to call "musicality"--sweetness, warmth, and delicacy--may be better off choosing something else like the MartinLogan Monoliths, but in so doing they will give up some of the impact and drama that are just as characteristic of live music.--J.
