Woofer Codes assistance needed, please!

I got a pair of 10 in. woofers from a friend to use as subs. They look to be wonderfully built as evidenced by the photos. Very large, heavy magnets, rubber surrounds. They are currently residing in the tubes from which the Boston components have been removed. Upon initial testing, very little deep bass emanated from them. I surmised that the woofers were not meant for a stuffed acoustic suspension enclosure, so I removed all the stuffing. To my surprise bass was strong and deep with no resonances forthcoming. I wondered to myself how the woofers didn't boom like crazy firing into an empty cabinet. So with both tubes hooked up, the bass to me was a bit overpowering. I've never been a bass freak and this is the first time I've heard really powerful bass in my listening room.

Regardless, I've been trying to find out who the manufacturer of these woofers might be. There are a bunch of numbers on the magnets. I tried researching the numbers. As of this writing, I've had no success.

Would anyone out there care to venture an opinion?

Google AD 10100 woofer and you'll get lots of hits. Apparently they were Philips.

Ten Q. You nailed it. Very well made. I was worried they'd be cheap Chinese knock-offs.

These are very good woofers made by Philips in the mid seventies. Philips suggests strongly an acoustic suspension system with a net volume of 35 lts.
The Fs is very low (25 Hz) and the power admittance is a consrvately 40 watts in this volume. I have measured mines ( four of them) and the Fs measures 30 to 35 Hz ,probably due to changes in the compliance but related to the ambiental temerature too. I get well bass response (controled bass, no boom) with mid filling with mineral wood. I think they· ll do fine as subwoofers. Luck !

Was it normal for these not to have terminal plates, or mperhaps be sold as kits? Judging from the solder connections on the x-over board it looked rather ameture. All the parts looked top notch, as did the cabs!
I am in the process of putting a nice dual L-Pad platre on the front for the level controls...............
