Language preferences?
Do you guys have to undersand what the guys sing?
I ask this because I live in a non english speaking country, and people here can blast away rocking and rolling to some stuff in any language and not understand or care what the singer says. What is amusing is whenever I have heard people playing covers, sometimes thaey literally invent the lyrics. What non english music do you guys enjoy? Chris |

Nena. But since she (& her band) are German, they all speak English, and often did their songs in two versions.
The Norwegian group A-Ha moved to England, and did their songs in English to breakthrough. English, especially American English, is, pardon, becoming the lingua franca of the world. How's this for a attitude: y'all can jibber-jabber, or speak English and join the conversation Pete, who remembers enough Spanish & French to know I cannot speak either language. |

I love Buena Vista Social Club. Cuban swing-era music is great for relaxed cruising
![]() I've got Rammstein in my CD collection, a bit too hard for my tastes, although nothing shakes the walls like "Du Hast" played really loud!

I have this LP from the 70's by a Filipino guy called Freddie Aguilar.
It's mainly accoustic and the best song is called "Anak" which is "child" in Tagalog. I still play it on a regular basis although to save wear and tear I've burned it onto a CD. There's also an English version on the LP but I think the Tagalog version is sheer beauty. Jack |
