For those who use the After-Market Titanium Mid/Squawker diaphragm

If for some reason you are not 100% satisfied with the sound/music from the Ti Mid try this if you can...

*Keep in mind I have external XOs so this is much easier for me*

Put a resistor before the cap/transformer in series with the + line (Bob Carver trick) Try 1.5 - 3.0ohm resistors

Leave the woofer and tweeter as is

Cheap to do... you can use sand resistors for testing. May want to move up in quality if you did this as a permanent mod

If you do try this report back your findings

I bought Bob Crites' crossovers with his add-on band-pass specifically for the Klipsch titanium squaker diaphragm. I must say, they sound very nice.

I'm not very handy with a soldering iron so it worked out nicely for me. The mids sound very smooth but the tweeters still sound a tiny bit gritty to my ears even with the titanium diaphragms. I'm thinking about wrapping the horns with Dynamat to see if that will smooth things out.
