No, not blue paint. :D I just re-covered my L250s (Ti guts) with some vintage reproduction JBL cloth that I bought years ago from a member at Lansing Heritage. (The old brown cloth was tired and slubbed.) Very pleased!

They are gorgeous! Hoping you have plenty of time to enjoy them this holiday weekend!

The only pair I've heard much live in a house where bass goes to die ...!
(reall! - Bad room modes kill all the bass in that house) ...
but they did sound great at another house the one time he hauled them!!
 
Thanks! :D Yeah, they have solid bass, but only down to about 30 Hz. I did a 12-inch sub to match, with walnut veneer and the same fabric. I may mate it with a second one eventually.

Nice job on the grilles, they look very cool indeed.

The 250TIs reach down below 30 Hz in my room, so much so that I don't feel the need to use my Kinergetics subs.
 
those look great! my favorite JBLs by far and solid bass down to 20hz! (and i don't care for ported but these i would love to have).
