Anyone know of a link (or a hard copy for sale) to any 1958-61 stereo/hi-fi equipment buying guides?

I.e. Ziff-Davis Electronic Kits Directory, Stereo Hi-Fi Guide, etc.

Not exactly what you seek but you'll find lots of relevant info at:

Also, in the specific arena of tape deck "buying guide" you can find a passel of them reproduced (albeit in small size and on a slow server) at the very cool vintage catalog/ad archive at http://reel2reeltexas.com/catIndex.html

Finally, for vintage (vacuum tube) hifi/audio/radio/tech resources in general, there are few better sites known to Man (the Tool Using Animal) than www.tubebooks.org
