Just picked one of these up and will rebuild soon. I have many 8417's and 7868's that i need to test. The chart doesn't list these. Are there other #'s for these tubes? Has anyone used this tester for these tubes?

Thanks in advance.........curley

There really isn't anything like a 8417, pretty high transcon 7AC pinout tubes.

A 6550 or KT88 setting will let you "test" to see if it works, maybe make a pile.
(then compare all your 8417 to "make" a setting)

The 7868 is basically the same as an 7591 with different basing, that may help.

If it helps,my B&K 707 chart says (6 29 52 for a 6550) and (6 29 54 for a 8417) and (6 29 63 for a 6L6)

filament,socket,sensitivity

Thank you.........a great help

You've made my day. Now, if I can find a solution for the 7868, I'll be a happy camper.........Thanks again

I am not sure this will help, but the 707 settings are:
6 42 27 4 5 2 6

fil,socket,sensitivity selector A b c d
shows shorts 1-7

Testing 7868 tube

The 707 socket #'s don't translate to the B&K Dyna Quik 500. Has anyone tested 7868's on one of these? Thanks to all of you for your help.
