Wharfedale W35

Picked these up off CL today for $20. They're in near mint condition and sound good on my test receiver. Can't wait to pair them up with my Sansui 1000X.

I'm betting those will be a nice match for the 1000x. Same era, plus they're both warm-sounding (Sansui and Wharfedale go well together... It's science ). I think I remember someone saying that model had an alnico mid-woofer, but don't quote me on that. Old Wharfedales are definitely a music-lover's speaker. Very-musical (In other words, they get your toes a' tappin' and make you wanna' freaky-deaky). I have W60E's from that same era, plus I have a pair of early W90's and W60's from 8-10 years earlier.

I actually wish I had a 1000x myself for my W90's. It would be a better match power-wise for the room than my 2000xm which is great but just a wee bit more than I need (My W90's are early ones... More-efficient than the later ones).

You'll likely want to recap those (if they haven't been already).
