im from new zealand and dont think i have ever seen or heard of any of these all with the excepion of one ,the Linear Phase studio monitors
i had a pair ,they are very good speakers i found then at a garage sale years ago ,made in the 70s or early 80s hear is a pic of the model ,is it the same ??? and white van ?? is that a make as well??

well the lists are mainly for places like craigslist or the bay where someone might not know what it is or cant listen to them. even though I wouldn't buy something without hearing it some do.
 
those in the photo might be the real deal, white van try to mock the name to sell the speakers making people thing they are better then they are. yours look like to be probably made by the company that these guys are trying to use. the pictures I cam up with on google image search for linear phase studio moinitors cam uyp with different looking speakers that are probably white van.

these ones are made in new zealand by fisher and paykel
 
It might be easier to compile a list if it were just "brand" names rather than every model number as well.

Just to add a few retarded brands I've seen on my local CL. The local CL is infested with this crap. These brands are like roaches, just when you think you're aware of all of them, 10 more new names come out of the sewer.

. I already know that the speakers arnt even worth a look but then you see that they are studio pro's that you get from like a rent a center place. lmfao really trying to sell them for around $500 again really.

I don't think yours are white van. Looks like they actually use decent philips drivers in them, also if they are heavy they are most likely not white van.

That video was enough for me, I have a set of Sutherland Technologies, or as we hip proud owners call them Suth Tech, on the way. Total scroe, I only paid $1500...the MSRP is fricken $2399.99!

Look forward to an in depth review within the next weak or so.

I have a pair of W.V's I've owned since 86. I re-foamed them last year. I've always been very happy with them. They sound good, go very deep, and have taken a serious beating from all the parties I had back in the day. They never distort, the woofer VC never bottoms out. No matter how loud I play them they sound great to me.
Bought them at Crazy Eddie's on Main St. Flushing, N.Y. for a hundred bucks.
So here's another brand to add to the list.

i actually knew someone who bought the "Thunder Lizards", they didn't sound too bad. if i remember right they had 8" poly mids and bullet tweets. rather thin cabinets as i recall.

I saw the Acoustic 3311 at a local thrift store today. They only had one speaker and were selling it for $25. I was bummed out that they didn't have the whole pair. Then I come back home and discover that those speakers were frauds, man I'm so happy I didn't get them. :yes:
 
I had a set of research dynamics co speakers as well. model acoustics. White van with out a doubt. Speakers have a plastic front that hold the speakers in place. I PAID $10 for them at a yard sale. I ended up trading them with some vintage vivid speakersfor some bowers and wilkens prism bookshelf.
