My turn...
Here are my Yammies:
CR-1020 Bought dead at a garage sale, five bucks, cracked board fixed ($75), sold to sister-in-law, swapped back (case now badly scratched) for a Marantz, dead again. M-35 Bought at an estate sale, low-power class A, sounds better than the CR-1020, especially if used w/o a preamp. CR-220 Bought (cheap) at the Surplus Exchange, dead. YH-1 TOTL headphones, bought at an estate sale (1!). They BLOW MY MIND!!!!!! Some kind of Yammie soundcard, bought over eBay - excellent! Laz Merrylander - if you want two more dead Yammies to fix, you know what to do...

Yamaha one of the few brands that I do not have as many as I want.
CR 2040 great sounding monster needs case work. CA 1010 I am following a thread about the relay clicking on and off so I may possibly get to hear what it sounds like.

Y stuff
T-760 (hooked up to a Mac MA-6100 for NPR)
T-33 (gathering dust) CR-420 (drives the "home theater" Mission 700s) CR-620 (a gift-in-waiting for my son-in-law) CR-1020 (in my home office, driving Mission 762s) On the look-out for a CR-1000 (because an old girl-friend had one in 1984 that I'll never forget... either of them). Currently working on the restoration of a CA1000 III, Japanese version for CA1020???
DC offet for Right Channel 35 mv, Left Channel 45 mv. Felt the sound to be a bit thin when compared with a Kenwood KA9100. Any comments? Greetings from Beijing! |
