Leak Stereo 50 amp?

I was helping a older lady clear out her house she was selling. Basiclly she was throwing them all out, she did not want anything that was left in there. Said I could take what ever I wanted, I ended up getting
Sansui Model 1000a Receiver
Leak Stereo 50 (Amp?) (I really have no idea how to do anything with it)
Akai Reel to Reel (1710 model)
Wintek 555 receiver
Wharfedale SFB/3 Speakers
Akai ss-30 speakers
Concert (?) Model cs-301 speakers (Japan)
Seemed like a good idea to put them in my truck and bring them home. Although I know nothing about them, as I've always just used the newer (and probably cheaper) stuff.

A classic amp from a classic British company. Be careful what you do and how you do it as to not affect its' value and operation. In other words, if you don't know, don't do it! Not to be insulting. If you clean it up wrong you will only cost yourself in the value of the piece. And yes it's worth some $$. It's a very nice find. Congrats. I don't know what you do or don't know, so I'll say, take it to someone who has collectible tube amp experience for clean up and a thorough check-up and go from there.

These would be a good match for the Leak. Lots of nice stuff, but the Leak takes the prize. DO NOT power it up until a tech looks at it.

btw, I have one on the bench right now. lol Yours appears to be in very good condition, just a lil dirty, no biggie. I hope you got the power cord with it, kinda hard to find those Bulgin plugs, but worth it for originalities sake.

Same for the Sansui. It is also tube. The Wintec is solid state as far as I know. There are people here who have literally spent decades looking for the stuff you tripped over. Proceed with caution or sell as is, just don't wreck the stuff. I don't know anything about you, but I think that you have been chosen to get this stuff in this way. Don't take it lightly.

You are either screwing with us or you are amazingly lucky.
From what I understand the lady's husband was in the Air Force and got all this stuff overseas, it looks like he listened to this stuff for a bit then put it in a box for 50+ years. The box on the leak is kinda beat up a little (50 year old box and all) but still looked good, original packaging and all.

Is there still straw in the Leak box? For some reason that I don't understand, this really appeals to the collectors. If it is there, don't throw it out.
