Some new tapes I cant wait to hear

In with the lot of gear I just dragged home is about 25-30 RTR tapes. I was just flipping through them and found

Beatles Magical Mystery Tour
Woodstock
Santana
Sly and the family
plus a couple of other I dig

Now these are all Factory tapes not his recordings. I dont have very many like this and cant wait to compare them to my vinyl

Sounds like a good find. MMT and Woodstock don't get played at my house often, but when they do, I'm having a ball! All this R2R talk is really getting to me. When I get my reciever straightened out my Teac is next in line. Brad

Hee,Hee, If Santana found it's way to my house it wouldn't hurt my feelings,
Dang, those are primo tapes to find. I keep finding mood music cr@p. Nothing like a little Piano to Read By ta get the juices flowing
I do have a Johny Cash sings the gunfighter ballads that is way cool though. Any rock I find has usually been taped over, and of course you can't tell till you get it threaded and open your first beer and get all comfortable. Then you get Johhny and Susie wedding tapes, ick.
I do love collecting old home recorded tapes though. I have found some cool stuff on them. Old news broadcasts and radio tapes, very fun when you know what they are to begin with, but when you find a Little Feat tape and it has Perry Como over it, that ain't no fun.
Just kidding about the Santana, I realize that for that you will want something like my right arm, which my wife already took when I bought the Big Sansui.
If these tapes are in good shape they should blow away your vinyl, especially if they are 7.5 ips. Enjoy and let us know how they sound, the rest of us can just live vicariously
What are you turning them on?
