Nice amplifier, but too much $.

You may get $100 each for those NOS Telefunken 12AX7's and maybe the same for the NOS 7591's, possibly more.

I say get a clean used Fisher & have it upgraded for a lot less money. Buy four NOS 7591s and load it up with NOS RCA 12AX7 black plate. Still a load of money left over vs the kit plus it will sound better.

Would be a cool center piece of a fisher collection. Price is just too high for me.

I'd love it if I had the disposable income. Unbuilt kits...no matter if Heathkit, Knight-Kit or anything else can command some seemingly crazy prices.

And...I'd bet many stay unbuilt, too!

Love the packaging in the ad...reminds me of an adult Erector set or Gilbert chemistry lab.

If you run an inflation calculator on the original kit price it comes to about $1,300. Makes today's tube amp kit prices seem not so crazy. Interesting.

As it happens there's an unbuilt KM-60 tuner also on Ebay, so far only $122.50:

$2,800 for that integrated does seem steep!

If money is all the seller wants, and he wants a lot, I think he should part it out. I just don't think anyone, even a collector, will pay that for a mass of parts. He may get close to what he wants by selling the parts? I guess if there is such a thing as a Fisher museum, they may want to display a couple of boxes of parts from a historical perspective. Short of that, I just don't see the appeal of an un-built kit, especially for that kind of coin.

BIN for $2800. I could think of a few purchases that would make me happy and still have money left over.

It will be curious what it sells for after they change it from BIN to auction.
