Andrew Jones knows something about loudspeakers. It's nice when affordable small speakers are designed for good sound as well.
 
Yep, I have a pair. For that price you can't make them that cheep. A little power hungry. I am going out to listen a pair that has been hot-rodded. Tweeter replaced an xover changed a little. The next step up I have heard, that I liked ,was Focal 705
 
Wow that's a great deal!

How do these compare with Minimus 7s? I had a pair of 7s on my desk at work but recently sold them. I've been looking for a decent vintage replacement (ADS, Boston, etc.) but everything nice I've found has been more than I want to spend (and much more than the price of these Pioneers). Are these on par with the Minimus 7s? I know they are universally revered, which is amazing given their price point.

Just now bought pair of '22s for $65 and check out was completed. Deal is back on.
 
Note that the whole line of Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers, bookshelf, center, and floorstander are all 1/2 price on Amazon. It makes me wonder if they're discontinuing the line and..... hopefully replacing with an even better line from Andrew or they could be just getting out the hmoe audio business as has been rumored or maybe it's just a one time thing.
 
Mine arrived earlier today. I bought these for my desk at work but I had to hook them up at home and give them a listen. They're currently connected to a McIntosh MA6600 and sound pretty good so far - I'm impressed! I assume with a few more hours they'll open more and sound even better. Not bad at all for $65! I just hope the Marantz 2220B at work has enough muscle for them since they seem to be a little inefficient.

They do indeed have a surprising amount of bass for such a small speaker.

Got mine today too. Successfully hid them from the wife, but I doubt I'll listen to them anytime soon. Too many other odds and ends to tackle first.
