I've seen some of his work before. Very nice! I believe he's done a Magnavox in the same style as the Motorola.

Yes, the 'swirly bits' look like a pinstriping sticker/appliqué (not paint). The gold on the transformers looks to be a decal or really good paint job.

Its a $200 amp, that I can't argue but what he has transformed it into isn't an amp, its a piece of art. Well worth what his opening bid is in my opinion. I'd rather spend $$$ on this than snake oil cables and such...
