I've gotten a bit lazy but, wanted a new tube amp. Bought a Clementine board because it's a simple build. The PCB can be built tri-strapped or UL. It is set up for either 1626/12SL7 or 6L6(and others)/6SL7 tubes.

All the parts are here. Now I need a warm day to make the top plate. :yes: I'm sure some here have a Clementine amp.

Which choke did you get , others might like to know what output transfomers and power transformer you got ,
 
It depends a lot on the OPT's used. The board is about 42.00 shipped. Mouser parts with choke is around 45.00. The Transcendars I used are 175.00 pair. Edcor OPT's and PT would make this a very inexpensive build with all new parts.
 
I'm guessing you think that's too much. Sure you could build this same circuit point to point and save a few bucks. Not everyone has the skills to do so. There is nothing to layout or figure out other than making the top plate or chassis. If you can solder, then you can build this amp easily.

This board can be configured in quite a few different ways. Not only is the amp circuit on this board, it includes the power supply circuit too. Once you have the board populated. The leads from the PT,OPT's,RCA's, binding posts just attach to the board.

I think that it is a bargain to get a proven amp. All the parts are figured out. You can build it stock or modify to your hearts content.

Ok Nate, Here's some more pics! Looks like good weather this week. Should be able to drill top plate. Covered the aluminum plate with painters tape. This keeps the plate from getting scratched and you can mark the layout on it. I'd like to put all the connections on the plate, except the IEC plug.

Here is the basic setup. The plate is 10"x12"so there's lots of room. I'd really like to put the RCA's in the back but, they would be close to the AC input. I'm open to ideas here. :scratch2: Won't drill till later this coming week. Looking at the second pic, the RCA's and power switch should be on opposite sides. PT connections are on the right side of board.

Yeah Marantzfan, it's always Under Construction. :D Jay this is the first Transcendars I've used. They are a solid chunk. :thmbsp:

Here's another layout. This might work better. I like a clean view from the front.

I used them on a 2A3 once and was very happy. The bang for buck is incredible.
 
You may want to place the output terminals further from the back edge if the top plate is going to sit on the wood base , also will you have clearance for the screws in the output transformer so close to the edge .
