Name that tune...too

Okay, here ya go.

Mama told me when I was young,
"Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say,
And if you do this,
It will help you some sunny day........

Derek got it. Lynyrd Skynryd.

The other song was Metallica - Fade to Black from Ride The Lightning.

Shall we continue?

This should be easy.

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas rising up through the air

That's all you get for this one. Easy as pie.

The only reason I know this is because I just got the CD. Very obscure lyrics. Most people won't have a clue.

Make the game fun for all participants Wards.

It's "A virus wearing diamonds and pearls"

"Lord help the lonely guys
Hooked by those hungry eyes
Here come tomorrow's girls....
Tomorrow's girls"

Ah yes, Donald Fagen

Angela, you should get this ...

"This house is your own,
still living alone,
it don't make you sad,
But I think its good to be green"

Too easy for you!

But here's one you'll never get ...

"A smash of glass and the rumble of boots,
Electric train and a ripped up phone booth,
Paint splattered walls and the cry of a tomcat,
Lights going out and a kick in the balls"

Mmmm?

Walt, more hints. Or is it impossible?

In the mean time, try this one.

How can we understand
Riots by the people for the people
Who are only destroying themselves
And when you see a frightened
Person who is frightened by the
People who are scorching the earth

This should be a good one. Not too mainstream anyway.

The first one ... well I will wait until Angela checks by because she should get that ...

But the second, well it wasn't really fair ... 1980 British post-punk/New Wave, song writer who is still around today doing mainly acoustic stuff now. I have declared my interest in this music before but you guys probably don't remember ...

How's about this one??

Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Then I flow like a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop? Yo -- I don't know
Turn off the lights and I'll glow
To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle.
