PIONEER A-90 arrived - almost mint !

Today I could recieve a very special Amplifier. Maybe one of the best Pioneer ever build (not Pioneer Exclusive).

Even when volumeknob is on max. position, who can hear no distortion - not like SA-9800 or SA-9900.
The power light turns on red and gets green, when the relay is switching........

perfect pioneer collection and very nice new amp but i got something from buisiness u may not have a velvet pioneer saleshelper
these are used for the pionee a 616 and a717 in point of sale

I have to make a direct comparison.
A-27 is bigger than A-90, but ...we will see.

Orion says 200 watts? $1,030 msrp in 1982-85.

That is half correct.

Pioneer Bible says that msrp was $1,230 in 1982/83 and then went down to $1,030 in 1983/84.
And A-80 fall from $750 to $640
Tuner F-90 from $365 to $320
Price for SX-1980 was $1250 in 1981, $20 more than A-90
same as A-27 with $1250
A-27 and A-90 were both build in 1982 and 1983, but A-27 was $20 more expensive !

I think the A-27 wins for style, at least in my book. The A-90 is a bit too BPC era looking for my tastes. I am quite surprised by the inner beauty however.

Yes, A-27 is better looking, it´s mighty like a Rolls Royce.
A-90 has better specs, like a Mercedes-Benz.

As I wrote several times: A-90 is one of the best integrated amplifiers Pioneer ever build ( A-07, A-09, A-91D .. ), but not the best looking ! ( SA-9900, SA-9800, SA-9100, A-27, SA-9500II..)
