HPM-500 tweeter replacement

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has had success replacing the tweeters in the HPM-500 with tweeters from the HPM-60 or HPM-100. They surely look like they would fit.

They will fit and work fine, no technical reason they won't work, but they will sound a bit different. Whether that's acceptable is how they sound to you. I have those 45-711 tweeters in my HPM-900s, because they gave a little more high freq output to the 900s which I needed in the room they're in. The stock 45-717 Polymer Graphite tweeters are flatter, more neutral sounding to me.

Thanks, I find the originals to be a little analytical anyway, so maybe the paper cones will be a bit warmer. Thanks for the advice.
