I’m being offered a Marantz Model 15

I restored a model 16, very similar to the 15. The 15 and 16 are acually two mono block amps and can be used separately. There is a short power cord on one that plugs into the other. When I restored the 16 back around 10 years ago, the two main filter caps were the most difficult part to find. They are screw top 35mm diameter and 80mm long if I remember right. They fit snugly in a well in the amp.
You can go up a bit in value. The originals were 5,000uf to 5,5000uf. The brand 9f filter caps originally used are known to not age well. There are only a few other electrolytics worry about. As a rule all the resistors should be fine as is. The diodes used are very stout also. Also, it's a good idea to source new bulbs to keep on hand. The light bulbs are tied into the bias circuit if I remember right, and they need to be working for the amp to work properly. All that being said, the 15 is a nice amp and fairly easy to work on if your used to working on audio equipment and are handy with a soldering iron. If not, it's still worth having g a competent tech go through it.
