I ampretty new to the audio world but have been loving it but have lots to learn.So I recently got a pair of dm603 s1 but one of the tweeters is needing replacement. I cant seem to find one for sale on ebay or elsewhere and am down to two options. Buy an original from B&W or go the cheaper route and get a dm603 s3 tweeter and just use that instead. I dont know if they would match up is all and was wondering peoples opinion/knowledge on it.

I can tell you that we've had this discussion several times regarding the DM-60x series. Here's one thread, although there have been others.
Here's what I do know: B&W no longer carries the tweeters or diaphragms. The S2/S3 series tweeters are not the same, but they are NLA either, so it's a moot point.
Here's what I don't know: the tweeters don't screw into the cabinet, they actually snap in to the baffle from the rear, and I don't know if the S2 tweeters will fit the S1 cabinet. Either way, you'd want to replace both, since it's unlikely they'd sound exactly the same.
Have you actually removed the tweeter from the cabinet and tested it? How do you know it's bad?
