i got my sansui g 8000 fix i dont understand why thet have problems with broken solder traces

Can you elaborate a little on that broken solder traces? Are you talking about actual copper 'traces' on the circuit card were 'broken'? Or you found bad solder connections to the copper traces from components?

I'm curious to know where (what board; what connections) these problems occured. This is good information for the future.

My G-8000 was functionally perfect except for the oxidation in almost every pot and switch! :thumbsdn: I didn't have to do a single repair. Control cleaning, DC-offset and BAIS adjustments were all that were necessary on this big 'G'. :thmbsp:

Perhaps it was damaged by someone. It's an odd place for traces to go bad, they don't carry large amounts of current through them. Maybe someone cracked the board. I haven't seen this problem on any receivers in the G series.

That would be my conclusion, too. Someone tried to remove or move that board and cracked it. I have had one Sansui unit with a cracked circuit board due to negligence so far.
