I answered an online ad that said "tape recorder" awhile ago and finally made the trip to check it out. The ad also said late sixties/early seventies stuff, but works. That part intrigued me a little.
So for $50 and a little drive I came home with a Sansui TU555(the reason I made the trip) and also a Sony PSX55 turntable, and a Sony reel to reel with speakers. The RTR and speakers were in their original boxes. Don't know if I care that much about the RTR or the speakers, but I'm pretty happy to grab a Sansui tuner to with my AU-555a!
I've got it up and running and it works well. The dial lamp(s) work. The lamp on the gauge does not. The stereo light works, but flashes on and off, even though the signal is at 4. This could be the temp antenna I'm using right now, though.
I'm also going out to grab a model 221 receiver tonight.
