Best way to connect equalizer and preamp to power amp?

What is the best way to connect equalizer and preamp to power amp?
I have Denon DE-70 equalizer, which has a build in dynamic expander and also has output level control (preamp build in?) so I can connect it directly to my Denon POA-1500 power amp. I also have RG Dimension 3 preamp, which has External Processor Loop (two pairs of jacks in/out) for connecting external processor/equalizer.
My question is: What is the best way to use those components, connect just equalizer to power amp and not using preamp, or connect both (preamp and equalizer)?

The EQ loop on your preamp offers you the choice of have the preamp with or without an EQ. That is the best of both worlds. If you neeed to use the EQ it is available but if you don't want it you can just flip a switch and it is gone.
 
Output level control on the EQ is so that the user can set the EQ'd sound level to be approximately the same as the straight sound.
 
Well, what I’m trying to find out, if EQ can act as Preamp than why do I need to connect preamp? It will require additional connections (theoretically, each additional connection will cause more noise and signal loss, no matter how good your cables and connectors).
 
newbie here, trying to figure out how to connect sansui control amp[preamp] along with eq to a luxman r-115 receiver,any and all help would be deeply appreciated...

But remember your also boosting the signal with the EQ and Control amp.So whatever signal loss is a mute point.

Does the eq have source selection?
 
I'm pretty sure the 115 has pre-main inputs. Does your sansui have a processor loop? If not, you can connect the eq to a tape loop.
What's wrong with the luxman that you need a new pre?

I am having the same problem as him. I have a Denon De-70 and Denon Dap 2500 and Denon POA2400. Can't get equalizer to work..Record is in and playback is out correct.
 
I believe the way it is intended to work with these is that the DE 70 Line In would come from the Tape 1 Rec on the Dap 2500 and the DE 70 Line Out would connect to Tape 1 PB on the Dap 2500. This puts the equalizer in the Tape 1 loop on the preamp, where it can be switched totally in and out with the Tape Monitor switch (Tape1 = EQ in, Source = EQ out). If you had a tape recorder, it then usually would be connected to the DE 70 tape 1 loop, which replaces the one lost by hooking up the DE 70 itself. The Pre Out Jacks on the Dap 2500 would go the the Normal Input jacks on the Denon POA2400.

If you are going to use the EQ as a room EQ where you set it and forget it, then it goes between the amp and pre-amp. If you are going to use to touch recordings and just as a tool to correct specific recordings then it should go in the tape loop. In either case the vol control of the eQ should be set so that the over all level stays the same. Other wise noise and distortion can creep in when you least expect it

I'm going to set and forget it. Can you tell me how to do it so I don't destroy my unit Please.The pre output is on the preamp not equalizer..???
 
The line out goes to the amp. The out put of the pre-amp goes to the line in of the EQ. HI FI engine has the owners and service manual. All you have to do is sign up on their website to get all the info you need.
