Crossovers for Polk Monitor 11

There is a very rare item on eBay, a pair of crossovers for a Polk Monitor 11. Back in 1988 when I purchased my Monitor 10B’s I tried to get a set of Monitor 11’s. They were unavailable. The Monitor 11 was a floor standing monitor 10 with the flat 12 inch passive radiator. The people I knew at the time who managed to snag a pair told me they sounded incredible. The Monitor 11 was replaced by the Monitor 12 with 4, 6.5" mid-woofers and the flat 12 in a passive radiator. The Monitor 12's were nothing less than awesome. eBay #132380476097

I understand that the Monitor 11, and Monitor 12's can be converted the SDA configuration with the crossovers and interconnects.

You misunderstood.

As for the Monitor 11's, they correct the inherent comb filtering flaw of the Monitor 10's by restricting the frequency range of each driver. They also dig deeper thanks to the larger PR and cabinet size. I own a pair, my father uses them.

There was a discussion about converting these speakers to SDA's 25 or so years ago on another forum. I paid no farther attention to it.

Your description of the configuration Monitor 11 explains why the crossover for it looks so different from the Monitor 10. Sure wish I could of scored a pair of 11's back in the late 1980's. As I recall they had stopped production of the 11, and they were slow getting the Monitor 12 in production.
